Recordflip Studios respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through studios.recordflipp.com, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your rights under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Recordflip Studios, a sole proprietorship operated by Haziq Showkat, Zakura, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir 190006, India.

2. Information we collect

• Booking details you give us: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, preferred date and time, package or service, number of people, and any notes about your project.
• Payment information: we receive payment confirmations and reference numbers from Razorpay. We do not store your card number, CVV or bank login details.
• Communications: messages you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or the contact form.
• Technical information: basic information that your browser and our server automatically record, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working.

3. How we use your information

• To review, confirm, reschedule or cancel your booking.
• To take advance payments and issue refunds.
• To send booking confirmations, session reminders and updates.
• To respond to your questions and complaints.
• To keep our records accurate, meet tax and legal obligations, and prevent fraud.

We do not use your personal information for unrelated purposes without asking for your consent first.

4. Legal basis and consent

We process your information on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a booking or contact form, and where needed to perform a booking you have requested. You may withdraw your consent at any time, as explained in section 8. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer process your booking.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed:

• Razorpay, to process advance payments and refunds.
• Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, to measure our advertising. Meta receives page-view events, the booking and payment event (no card details), and your contact details in hashed (encrypted) form, along with your IP address, browser information and Meta cookies.
• Messaging providers, such as WhatsApp Business (Meta) and email services, to send booking messages.
• Hosting and technical providers, who store and run the website on our behalf.
• Authorities, where required by law.

6. Cookies

Our site uses the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies named _fbp and _fbc so that Meta can measure ads. The website may use cookies or similar technologies needed to run the site, such as remembering your booking progress. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

7. How long we keep information

We keep booking, payment and transaction records for 10 years from the date of each order, as required for payment and transaction records under our payment gateway terms and for our accounting and tax obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise the information. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within a reasonable time.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or update inaccurate information;
• ask us to delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements;
• withdraw your consent; and
• raise a complaint about how we handle your data.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 10. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.

9. Security and children

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our services are not directed at children under 18. A parent or guardian should book on behalf of a minor.

10. Grievance officer and contact

We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within the timeframe required by applicable law.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
